NOTICE
Telex has sold
the Turner brand to a truck stop
electronics distributor. Their first
two batches of microphones were not
acceptable to our standards, and we
did not sell them. We have been told
the company that made the element for
Telex either went out of business or
no longer makes the element. This is
what made the RK-56 the best sounding
noise cancelling microphone on the
market, which justified the
price.
The Road King
look alike mic's actually sound
better than the early versions of the
"new" RK-56 and at less
than half the price.
If you have an
older RK-56 you can identify it by
looking at the back cover. It says
TELEX TURNER. If it only says TURNER,
you have one of the new mic's and
we can't improve the sound
quality.
If you have an
original TELEX, don't get rid of
it. We can repair any failures,
except for the element; and element
failure is rare.
We have
repaired Road Kings that were in
excess of 20 years old.
May 2015 Update:
We will now be carrying the latest
generation Turner RK-56 microphone
which has passed our extensive
internal testing and performs very
well.
Please be aware there are still many
first and second generation units on
the market, and they should be
avoided.
Be assured: Bob's CB will ONLY
carry and sell the latest generation
Turner RK-56.
NO earlier versions.
